Adapted by John de Lancie, from a script by Nat Segaloff, based on the original story by Jules Verne.
Hood and Dagger Productions is proud to present this adventurous live radio play, adapted from the Jules Verne classic, which will take audiences on a transformative journey in their minds and before their eyes! On-stage Foley Artists create live sound effects throughout the show and a talented pianist provides enchanting musical interludes.
Our wonderful cast includes Ken Stone, Dana Grindean, William Banner, Adam Kirk, Jeremy Zehr, Debbie Feakes, and features dazzling piano by Glen Hoban. As our story follows our adventurers to Iceland, the Scandinavian Cultural Centre's band will also be performing Nordic folk music before each show. Furthermore, local book seller Whodunit? Mystery Bookstore will have a booth in the lobby for those who want to take an adventure home to read later.
Join us in the Westminster United Church Concert Hall which is accessed via the south door. Please note the Concert Hall is stair access only. Tickets are only $20 and all profits from Journey to the Center of the Earth will be donated to the Westminster United Church.
Street parking is available near the venue, and we are pleased to announce that Canada Life (located about a 10 minute walk away) has also agreed to allow show patrons the use of a portion of their parking lot to attend these showtimes.
Hood and Dagger Productions Inc. is Winnipeg newest not-for-profit community theatre.
