Teekca Spence is a proud Cree and Ojibway artist and band member of Fox Lake Cree Nation. In 2013, Teekca participated in a Storyboot School workshop and under the guidance of her mother, Marilyn Tanner-Spence, she learned the intricate art of crafting moccasins and mukluks. Inspired by her mother's teachings, Teekca soon found herself not only assisting but also instructing others in the craft. Through her role as an instructor, Teekca shares her passion for moccasin and mukluk making, fostering a sense of cultural pride and connection among her students.
