Eight-week writing classWednesdays, Jan. 28 - March 18
6:30-8:00 pm
Instructor: J. Scott Price
Most of us are drawn to one genre over another, but you might also be genre-curious: interested in trying your hand at something new, but just not sure where to begin. This eight-week, introductory course will give you the tools to start your creative writing adventure across forms in a supportive and fun environment. We'll explore the basics of short stories, creative nonfiction, poetry, flash fiction, and collaborative writing, then give each a whirl. Through weekly instruction and guided practice, you'll gain hands-on experience, develop your creative voice, and learn to give and receive constructive feedback as part of a community of fellow writers. This class is a great option for both beginners and seasoned wordsmiths looking to branch out.
This eight-week course is $228. The class will take place at Stone Soup Books (402 West Main Street in Waynesboro).
