Miguel’s outstanding talent was recognized with the Nashville Industry Music Awards Jazz Performance Award, coinciding with the release of his critically acclaimed album Idile on Ear Up Records. He’s a dedicated educator, guiding his students to prestigious festivals and helping them excel in college programs and collaborations with industry icons. Most recently, Miguel toured throughout South Africa with Standard Bank Artist of the Year Darren English as the saxophonist in his quintet.
Born and raised in Georgia, Marlon Patton is a Nashville-based drummer and music producer/engineer. Marlon hails from a long line of drummers dating back to his grandfather, Phil Patton, who played in the Chicago big band circuit. On any given day, you could catch him at a world renowned venue, in a dark corner improvising with a bunch of electronics, or in the kitchen perfecting his famous huevos rancheros. He is the first call for so many musicians not just because of his impeccable time, but because of the incredible musicality of what he delivers. He has toured, performed and/or recorded with the Atlanta Symphony Orchestra, Jim White, Larkin Poe, Delta Moon, Gordi, Lera Lynn, Liv Warfield, Lonnie Holley, Houston Person, Jeff Coffin, Joel Frahm, Shahzad Ismaily, Col. Bruce Hampton, Takana Miyamoto, John Patitucci, Lew Soloff, Randy Brecker, Bobby Shew, Rufus Reid, Marcus Printup, Kevin Bales, Wycliffe Gordon, TOKU and Russel Gunn.
