Jonathan Sloane is a remarkable and incredibly versatile guitarist and songwriter who brings an impressive range of skills to the American music scene. His sound is an intriguing blend of genres that brings together blues, Americana, soul, and rock into a unique and captivating experience.
Hailing from the Washington, D.C. Metro area, Sloane's immaculate command of both rhythm and lead guitar has made him a top sought-after session and touring guitarist by several of the biggest names in roots rock nationally.
Across the U.S., Jonathan has had the pleasure of working and sharing stages with names such as Amy Helm, Billy Strings, Butch Trucks, Daryl Davis, George Porter Jr., Greenksy Bluegrass, Ivan Neville, Jackie Green, Sonny Landreth, Tab Benoit, Samantha Fish, Phil Lesh, and more.
His debut album “Alive and Well”, unveiled in 2018, is a testament to his exemplary vocal range and skillful guitar playing, showcasing that Jonathan's inspired craftsmanship transcends genres. He is currently working on the follow-up album, which will be dropping later in 2023.
Fans have also come to know Sloane from writing and performing with Anders Osborne, appearing on the “Orpheus and the Mermaids” acoustic duo record, and touring venues and festivals across the country.
Additionally, Jonathan is an original member of Yellow Dubmarine – a popular regional tribute band blending energizing dub and reggae rhythms – which further evidences his artistic versatility.
With years of experience touring and recording with Baltimore's renowned Cris Jacobs as well, Jonathan Sloane demonstrates an unwavering passion for music that knows no bounds.
When not on stages or in the studio, Jonathan mentors and teaches fellow guitarists.
