"Plein Air Made Simple" a small group, outdoor watercolor experience

Paint outdoors with Em Campbell at the historic Paca House gardens in Annapolis!

This relaxed 2-hour workshop is open to all skill levels — no experience needed. Bring your own watercolor painting supplies or purchase a kit at registration.

You'll learn how to choose a subject, simplify a scene, and keep your painting loose and confident. Topics include composition basics, limited palette work, and adapting to changing light.

For those new to painting or who want to skip the drawing part, Em will be handing out paper with a pre-sketched landscape ready to go. Everyone leaves with a finished landscape painting and the skills to keep painting outside on their own.

Space is limited. Bring a chair or blanket along with your paints— this is an outdoor experience, so dress for the weather!

Free admission to the gardens is included and an optional traveler's watercolor kit is available at registration. This is an in-person event designed to keep things easy and enjoyable. No stress, just art and fresh air! Register below:
