Join us in partnership with the Witherspoon-Jackson Community Princeton Safe Streets for a special evening of recognition, remembrance, and celebration.
Pat Fisher Day Program of events:
• Sherrill is scheduled to appear on Wednesday, August 5, during the Jim Floyd Memorial Community Discussion, where she will receive the Paul Robeson Witherspoon-Jackson Community Honors Award before delivering remarks on “The Future of the Garden State.”
• Book Scholarships & Community Award Presentation
• The Pat Fisher Memorial Exhibition: Featuring Aaron Fisher & Freddie Young

• Ten Years of Threads: The Princeton Sankofa Stitchers Modern Quilt Guild’s Journey Through Fabric and History

• Artist-in-Residence, Martryce Roach: This August, the artist will focus on installing a historically themed mural on Spring Street as part of Princeton’s 250th anniversary celebration. The mural design will be on display as a sneak peek during the ACP Safe Streets event. Once completed, the mural will be featured as part of a gallery crawl this September.
• Kendall Hall: Ubuntu Cultural Pavilion Pop-Up Museum
The Ubuntu Cultural Pavilion, Inc. artistically creates space, access, and opportunities to celebrate the African and African American experiences and history with a particular emphasis to preserve and elevate the extraordinary life and legacy of Paul Leroy Robeson. The Pop-up Museum is an ongoing series that will feature exhibits and activities that highlight the stories and artifacts of the community.
