Join us for our annual Joint APWA/SAME/WEAT July 2026 Scholarship Awards Meeting and Luncheon at The Ballroom at Junior League Houston, 1811 Briar Oaks Ln, Houston, Texas 77056, where we will announce and award scholarships to the new outstanding group of students in Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics.
Note: Walk-ins are welcome, but will be required to pay non-member prices ($65) except public agency representatives, whose price remains the same ($15). Please register by 11 pm July 3, 2026 to avoid the on-site late registration fee of $5
Randall V. (Randy) Macchi, JD serves as Director of Houston Public Works, leading the largest accredited public works agency in the North America. He oversees a 3.5 billion dollar organization of nearly 4,000 employees delivering critical infrastructure services that support the safety, resiliency, and quality of life for the City of Houston.
Randy joined Houston Public Works in 2023 as Chief Operating Officer and was named Director in November 2024. He was unanimously appointed to the role, bringing a multidisciplinary leadership approach that expands traditional infrastructure leadership and has since led a transformation of the department through strategic planning, performance management, and operational excellence.
Randy holds a Doctor of Jurisprudence from the University of Houtson and is an accomplished public speaker, certified mediator, and adjunct professor. He is also a dediated husband to his wife Kayla and a proud father of four sons.
