About this Event
Take your most iconic photo and turn it into a beautiful one-of-a-kind cyanotype print using the SUN! Led by Cyanotype Artist Laura Rostad.
Learn the entire process of photo transfers and cyanotype printing in a fun, relaxed atmosphere at Golden Mean. Come with your partner, a friend, or come solo!
You may also create a print using any items you would like to experiment with to create 1-2 unique prints to bring home, in addition to the photo transfer print.
Please feel free to bring any items you would like to explore with! For example, plants from your own garden, jewelry, clothing, anything that can lay flat.
All art supplies and Beverages Complimentary (Sparkling Water, Coca-Cola) and included in ticket.
After you purchase your ticket, you will be contacted over email to submitt your desired photograph so it can be turned into a photo negative before the event.
About Laura Rostad: Laura Rostad is continually investigating the presence of the natural world and her place within it. After studying Digital Media Production at Tulane University in New Orleans, she moved to Austin in 2020. Her long-time passion for collage, photography, and installation work set the foundation for her current exploration into new mediums, like cyanotype prints and textiles. She’s passionate about sharing creative processes and leads collage and cyanotype workshops in Austin. Her studio is located at Art Hub ATX and can be visited during open studios every Second Saturday of the month.
Golden Mean is a gift store, art gallery, and vintage home decor boutique located at 2210 South 1st St in Austin, TX.
