Step back in time and discover the rich history and legacy of Johnnie Walker Beach, a treasured part of Lewes Delaware’s African American history, through the voices of those who gathered along its shores during segregation and beyond.

More than just a day at the beach, Johnnie Walker Beach was a place where families celebrated and worshipped, friendships were formed, and memories were made. Together, we’ll celebrate those memories and help preserve this important piece of our local history for generations to come.

Bring your beach chairs, family, friends, and your memories. Whether you have a personal connection to Johnnie Walker Beach or are discovering its history for the first time, we invite you to spend the afternoon with us.
