Joe Jencks Benefit Concert
It is fitting that the song writer responsible for "Lady of the Harbor" should sing a benefit concert for refugees and asylum seekers. So Joe Jencks will perform Nov. 7 at 7 p.m. at All Souls Church to benefit CASP and the ECDC.
Jencks is a 25-year veteran of the international folk circuit, an award-winning songwriter, and celebrated vocalist based in Chicago, IL, but traveling the world over.
November 7 will be the Saturday after the election when we all could use some song. Tickets are $25 and available online at http://www.ascvt.org/JoeJencks All Souls Church is located at 29 South Street in West Brattleboro
The Community Asylum Seekers Project (CASP) is dedicated to welcoming and supporting asylum seekers in Southern Vermont, ensuring they have access to safety, stability, and the resources needed to rebuild their lives.
ECDC VT provides essential resources, case management, and community connections to help refugees find their footing and foster a lasting sense of belonging in their new rural homes.
Few artists embody the heart and humanity of folk music quite like Joe Jencks, a master storyteller whose performances blend musical beauty, social consciousness, and spiritual depth. With a voice often described as deep, warm, and timeless, Joe creates concerts that feel less like performances and more like shared experiences — moments of connection that follow you home.
