Jiwya (pronounced G-V-YUH) is a 100% plant-based luxury fashion brand rooted in the Sanskrit word “Jeev”: meaning life, soul, and spirit. The name embodies the brand’s belief in caring for every form of life on the planet: people, animals, and the planet herself. Co-founded by two textile scientists-Aishwarya Lahariya and Adhiraj Shinde- the brand has created an entirely plant-powered, soil-to-soil fashion ecosystem, free from synthetic dyes, plastic, animal-derived materials, and toxic chemicals. Working exclusively with handspun yarns and handlooms, Jiwya partners with 150+ artisan clusters across India to create authentic raw materials and revive native textile arts. These time-honoured techniques are then translated in-house into contemporary, globally relevant silhouettes that are designed to be worn, cherished, and passed on. Jiwya is a vertically integrated, zero-waste, zero-discharge brand with a transparent and ethical supply chain.
