About this Event
The Jews of Compass at the Charleston Retreat!
Join us for a unique gathering at the storied , where we will have a private tour of the beautiful synagogue hosting a congregation that is celebrating its 275th anniversary. This is one of the six Jewish congreations in America during the time of the Revolution. KKBE is also where the American Reform Judaism movement began precisely 200 years ago. The building, which was built in the Greek Revival style in1840 after the Great Charleston Fire of 1838 destroyed the original, is a stunning National Historic Landmark, a highlight of the Holy City; it is now the oldest synagogue in continual use in the USA.
We'll continue our celebration next door at the , located in the Ryder Hotel. Connect with like-minded fellow members of the tribe who are also top producers and immerse yourself in a supportive community to collaborate without ego.
Don't miss out on this chance to learn about our people's rich history in this beautiful city, recharge your spirit and enhance your network in a welcoming environment, as well as swig some yummy cocktails & pick up some JoC swag.
We can't wait to see you there!
The tour is $15/person, but feel free to give $18 or $36 or more as tzedakah--we'd love to leave Charleston a better place than we found it.

For those who cannot make it to the tour, we kindly request you make a donation to Kahal Kadosh Beth Elohim (via this platform) so we can help them dream big.
The bar has bites & drinks available to purchase, but due to South Carolina law Happy Hour pricing doesn't begin until 4pm.
