Jesus Christ Superstar
Andrew Lloyd Webber and Tim Rice’s rock opera retells the final week of Jesus Christ’s life, focusing on the political and personal conflicts, especially from the perspective of Judas Iscariot, who grapples with Jesus’ growing fame and his own impending betrayal — culminating in the crucifixion and exploring themes of faith, betrayal, and humanity through its revolutionary rock score.
