JESSE TERRY with Alan Fish live in concert
Whatever magic potion the troubadours in Laurel Canyon were sipping on in 1971, Jesse Terry has managed to track it down and take a deep gulp.
Born in the USA, Jesse Terry has a new album out – it’s rather wonderful. It’s called ‘Arcadia.’
He’ll be appearing at The CAT Club’s Sunday Showdown in The Robin Hood Pontefract’s Pigeon Loft on Sunday 6th October at 6pm.
This lot seem to like Jesse and his new album – we’re sure you will too . . .
“Easy to compare Terry’s heritage and storytelling to that of Jackson Browne, James Taylor or Bruce Springsteen. A symphonic delight for the heart and soul.” – Americana UK.
“One of the year’s best for sure.” – Americana Highways.
“Both tender and triumphant, it’s his finest hour yet.” – Folk Radio UK.
“Each track on this new album is an absolute delight” – Fatea Magazine.
“Another great top album by a top artist” – Rootstime.
“A superb achievement and one of the strongest releases this year.” – Lonesome Highway.
“He has a soft, breathy vocal style that variously calls to mind Paul Simon, Justin Rutledge and Paul McCartney” – Folk Radio UK.
“Jesse deserves to be up there with the likes of James Taylor & Jackson Browne” – Paddy MacDee, BBC Radio.
“He is really hitting his stride with this release. The choice in songs, the choice in duet partners, the choice in arrangements pair beautifully with Jesse’s exceptional vocal gifts. There are not many out there with a voice like his. Splendid work.” – Acoustic Blender, WESU.
“Lovers of Glen Campbell will delight” – RnR Magazine.
“Terry has, once again, released a hugely impressive album.” – Maverick Magazine.
“As a young artist, Terry would fit right in with the songwriters of the 1960s and ’70s. Listening to his music, it’s easy to imagine hearing his songs on the radio in between cuts by Bob Dylan, James Taylor, Jackson Browne and Joni Mitchell.” – Pollstar..
“The melodies ring with instant accessibility and a clear connection, conveying a brilliance and clarity that most veteran artists still strive for. A wonderful album indeed.” – No Depression.
“He’s a force to be reckoned with. His well-crafted songs rank right there with Ryan Adams, Rhett Miller and other masters of alt-country.” – John Platt, WFUV New York City.
It’s an album layered with duelling electric guitars, stacked vocal harmonies, and heartland hooks: It’s a big, bold sound the sort of record that begs to be played in the car, windows rolled down, driving down the fast lane toward some new horizon. Beautiful, indeed. With ‘Arcadia,’ Jesse Terry reaches a new peak.
Happy Trails.
