Gather at BARCAR in Old Metairie for a networking happy hour sponsored by LCMC and designed exclusively for young professionals in their 20s and 30s. This is a fantastic opportunity to connect with other young professionals in a relaxed atmosphere.
BARCAR pays homage to the building's history as a train depot, located at the base of the railroad tracks that stretch between Metairie Road and the Jefferson/Orleans Parish Line. Its name refers to a train car with a bar for passengers and represents the social phenomenon of bridging the gap between work and home. It served as a space for individuals to unwind during their train journey, providing a break between the two most important parts of their lives.
