About this Event
Welcome to the JCCP All Staff/Volunteer Orientation event! This in-person gathering is a fantastic opportunity for all our staff and volunteers to come together, connect, and learn more about our organization's mission and goals. During this orientation, you will receive valuable information about your roles and responsibilities, meet fellow team members, and get a chance to ask any questions you may have. We are excited to have you join us and be a part of our community. See you there!

Info: Are you a first-year or first-time volunteer with JCCP? Enrolled or interested in enrolling in CSPL120? This quarter credit experience provides space for civically minded students to build community with peers, faculty and staff, and community partners while bolstering their civic knowledge, bolstering their content knowledge around critical issues (related to education, mass incarceration, sustainability, and the arts), developing critical skills, and further developing their civic identities.

Reflective Practice (Ed/Youth)
Info: Reflective Practice is the ongoing reflection on teaching practices that allows us to become more skilled and capable teachers. It is a self-reflexive inquiry. Reflective practice can be aimed at individual practice, but also at systems of education. Participants will take a deeper dive into reflective practice and learn how to use it as an ongoing tool in their tutoring and mentoring work.

Developmental Relationship Framework (Ed/Youth)
Info: Developmental relationships are essential to help young people discover how to become their best selves. Through the benefits of developmental relationships, young people move beyond surviving to thriving. Strong developmental relationships help young people of every age, race, and socioeconomic background discover who they are, cultivate the ability to shape their own lives and destinies, and learn how to positively contribute to the world. In this workshop, participants will explore developmental relationships and discuss how we can intentionally create them in our schools, programs, families, and communities.
