This week we welcome back Hammond organist Clif Metcalf, with Luke Sittard on guitar and "resident drummer" Jeff Shoup.
Clif Metcalf became a Hammond B3 artist while still in his teens. Hailing from Alma, MI, he has to shared the stage with jazz and blues luminaries such as Randy Napoleon, Diego Rivera, Harvey Mason, Larry McCray, Thornetta Davis, and performs regularly with the Sean Dobbins Quartet. In addition to his busy performance schedule, Clif is a devoted music educator and currently teaches at West Ottawa schools in Holland, MI.
Luke Sittard draws upon the influences of Charlie Parker, Wes Montgomery, and Thelonious Monk while also embracing stylistic elements from R&B and Neo-Soul. A 2nd place winner in the 2020 Wilson Center International Guitar Competition, he has gotten to share the stage with incredible musicians such as Etienne Charles, Rodney Whitaker, Michael Dease, John Webber, Sean Dobbins, and Brandon Rose. Luke earned a Master of Music degree from Michigan State University under the tutelage of Randy Napoleon, and serves as a faculty member at MSU Community Music School-Detroit.
