Join us as the Branigan Cultural Center and NM Music Commissioner Derrick Lee present a Jazz Procession as a part of our 6th annual “Juneteenth Jazz Arts Festival.” The Las Cruces Museum System will be co-hosting and promoting three Juneteenth events this year in celebration of the holiday. The first of the three Juneteenth events will be our Jazz Procession from Pioneer Women's Park to the Rio Grande Theatre, starting at 500 W. Las Cruces Ave., from 5pm to 6pm MDT, on Friday, June 19.
Join us in our "Jazz Procession" as we march along Las Cruces Avenue. We will celebrate Black American freedom with marching and music leading up to performances at the Rio Grande Theatre.
The second event will be from 10am to 1pm MDT in the Courtyard at the Branigan Cultural Center, 501 N. Main St., on Saturday, June 20. The third event will be from 7pm to 9pm MDT at Young Park, 850 S. Walnut, on Sunday, June 21.
