Join us as the Branigan Cultural Center, Las Cruces Parks & Recreation, and NM Music Commissioner Derrick Lee present the 6th annual “Juneteenth Jazz Arts Festival.” The Las Cruces Museum System will be co-hosting and promoting three Juneteenth events this year in celebration of the holiday. The third of the three Juneteenth events will be a FREE event at Young Park, 850 S. Walnut, from 7pm to 9pm MDT on Sunday, June 21.
Join us in celebrating Make Music Day with jazz performances by renowned saxophonist, Tia Fuller. This artist was the featured saxophonist in the Disney movie Soul for the part voiced by Angela Basset. This is a concert you truly don't want to miss! Bring your own chairs or blanket to sit on the grass.
The first event for Juneteenth will be from 5pm to 6pm MDT at Pioneer Women's Park, 500 W. Las Cruces Ave., on Friday, June 19. The second event will be from 10am to 1pm MDT in the Courtyard at the Branigan Cultural Center, 501 N. Main St., on Saturday, June 20.
Additional information about the "Juneteenth Jazz Arts Festival" can be found at LasCruces.gov/Juneteenth including additional events and performances around the City of Las Cruces.
