Second String play a variety of mainstream jazz with swing, blues and Latin all featuring in the mix. The band began as a trio playing cafe jazz in 2004 but has grown to a mainstream jazz sextet with vocalists. They will be joined at this gig by regular guest vocalist Sharon Louise.

> Ian Goater - guitarist, original founder of the band, Ian is also a specialist in herding cats.
> Bruce Barnett - saxophone, clarinet and all things reedy. Professional music teacher, many years of orchestra and small combo playing.
> Garry Buckley - trumpet, flugelhorn horn and all things shiny. Garry currently plays in multiple combos ranging from big bands to trios.
> Simon Renfrey - double bass, a lifelong professional drummer, Simon has come passionately to bass playing in recent years.
> Adrian Alexander - piano, guitarist, sound engineering guru in general. Adrian has been playing rock and jazz since he was a teenager.
> Jim Pultz - drums, our quietly spoken rock upon whose shoulders everyone stands.

Look forward to a fantastic afternoon of RED HOT traditional and mainstream jazz with swing, blues and Latin all thrown into the mix with plenty of inventive improvisation in a diversified mix of vocals and instrumentals.
Buderim Gardens Community Centre/Clubhouse. 405 Mooloolaba Rd Buderim.
Directions: Turn left at the T intersection when coming off Mooloolaba Rd, the Community Centre can’t be missed is on your right.
Visitor parking out the front.
Music from 1.30pm to 4pm (Doors open 1.00pm).
This is a BYO event so please bring your own food and drinks.
Seating is cabaret style; group bookings are welcome.
Ticket numbers will be limited, so early booking is recommended to avoid disappointment.
