Join us for Jazz at Josiah Henson on Thursday, June 11, 2026 from 5:00pm to 8:00pm! The event features live jazz music by Eric Byrd Trio, local food and drinks on the grounds of Josiah Henson Museum & Park. Attendees are encouraged to bring a blanket of chairs for the performance, explore the grounds, and enjoy a museum tour during their visit.

The Band
The Eric Byrd Trio are internationally acclaimed jazz ambassadors whose sound blends swing, bepop, gospel, and blues with energy and soul. For more than 25 years, the Maryland-based trio has performed worldwide, earning a Maryland State Arts Council Independent Artist Award and a Governor’s Citation for over two decades of global touring. Their recording Twenty won the 2022 Washington Area Music Award for Jazz Recording of the Year, and their latest release, Echoes of Arrival (2025) marks a bold new chapter. Former Kennedy Center/U.S. State Department Jazz Ambassadors, EBT continues to honor the tradition while pushing jazz forward.
