About this Event

They began as a “gonzo-folk” trio in 1986. Founding members Caldwell Gray, Lisa “Weezy” Venable Gray, and Tom Helf crafted a sparse brand of rock & roll that used acoustic guitar, drums and harmony-driven vocals to create a unique blend of folk, classic rock, ’80s new wave and bluegrass.

“Joining Caldwell and Tom in the current line-up are John Penovich (lead guitar and vocals), Todd Baker (fiddle and vocals), and Arch Alcantara (bass and vocals).”

Cravin’ Dogs has since evolved into an all-original, eclectic, roots-rock quintet that has played over 1000 shows and released ten full-length albums, one EP and two compilation retrospectives.
