Java Programming Workshop

Ages: 10 - adults

6 classes: Sundays, 1:30 - 3:30 PM

Dates: September 14, 21, 28, October 5, 12, 19

Join us for this 6-week series to learn basic - advanced Java programming skills. Students will learn core Java concepts, data types, logical operations, and fundamental algorithms, with hands-on coding exercises.

Final Project: Building a basic vending machine simulation or cash register application applying variables, conditionals, loops, and arrays in a cohesive project.

All students will receive a free digital copy of a 50-page guidebook for Java used in the class. Students can use the book to review material taught in class and practice concepts with solutions provided.

1) Is Java difficult to learn? – No, Java is beginner-friendly, and we break it down step-by-step to ensure every student succeeds.

2) Will this class help with college applications? – Absolutely! Coding experience in Java looks great on college applications and can even lead to certifications that help you stand out in a crowded field of applicants.

3) Does my child need prior experience? – No prior experience is required! We teach Java from the ground up, making it accessible to all students.

4) How does Java compare to Python? – Java is more structured, widely used in industry, and is a core language for app development, enterprise software, and robotics.
