The Philly Bookstore Crawl is back, and we’re making a weekend of it. 📚
Join your Jasper House + Harbisons Dairy neighbors for a curated route through some of our favorite independent bookshops in Fishtown + Kensington. We’ve planned the stops, built in plenty of time to browse, and added a few extras before and after the official crawl.
FRIDAY, AUGUST 21 — THE PRE-PREGAME
Book Crawl weekend starts a little early! From 6–8 PM, American Grammar is hosting Pitching Memoir, a free AMA with literary agents and memoirists about pitching, publishing, and selling memoir. If you’re a writer—or just curious about the publishing world—consider this your optional pre-pregame before Saturday’s crawl.
SATURDAY, AUGUST 22 — THE PREGAME
Meet us at 10:30 AM at Them Local + FORÎN on Coral Street for a pre-crawl hangout. Peruse Them Local’s curated selection of books, clothing, gifts, records, and more. Plus, Jasper House + Harbisons Dairy residents receive 10% off at Them Local.
SATURDAY, AUGUST 22 — THE CRAWL
At 11 AM, we’ll head across the street to American Grammar and officially begin our neighborhood route. From there, we’ll make our way to Harriett’s Bookshop, Lot 49 Books, H&H Books, and Runehammer, with plenty of time to browse, shop, and enjoy special Bookstore Crawl programming along the way.
We’ll arrive at H&H Books around 1:30 PM to catch their afternoon author signings before wrapping our official route around 3:30 PM.
SATURDAY NIGHT — THE POSTGAME
Still have some crawl left in you? Meet us back at H&H Books from 7–9 PM for Hot Debut Summer, featuring a panel of debut authors, complimentary wine while you shop, and more. Consider it our optional Book Crawl postgame and one last excuse to keep the fun going. 📚🥂

We’ll meet from 10:30–11:00 AM for coffee, browsing, and a little pre-crawl shopping before heading across the street to American Grammar for the official start of our neighborhood route.
Harbisons Dairy and Jasper House residents receive 10% off at Them Local, so consider this your excuse to browse their curated mix of books, clothing, gifts, records, and design finds before we hit the bookstores.

Info: After a neighborhood walk to Girard Avenue, we’ll visit Harriett’s Bookshop. Browse books, art, vinyl, merch, and more during their special Bookstore Crawl sale.

Info: Next up is Lot 49, an independent shop filled with used, rare, and unexpected finds. Take some time to browse the shelves and see what catches your eye.

Info: Our featured stop of the day! We’ll arrive in time to catch H&H’s Bookstore Crawl programming, including author signings happening from 1–2 PM and 2–3 PM, plus plenty of time to browse.
