Community Song Lab: A Co-writing Workshop
About this Event
This is a live co-writing experience for songwriters of all levels. Please arrive a few minutes early so we can start right on time!
- 11-11:30: intro: warm-up & tips for a successful co-write
- 11:30-1:00: co-writing session: breakout into pairs and trios
- 1:00-2:00: song share: share what you've written with the group
The intention of this event is to meaningfully connect with other musicians in the community and take an opporunity to stretch ourselves creatively. Process over product!
Please bring a notebook and writing utensil or a laptop. You're more than welcome to bring instruments! Acoustic is likely more convenient, but if you have a way for your electronic instrument to play aloud, we welcome it.
Ticket fee covers the space, printed materials, and coffee/tea
& Space is a large dance room with smaller sitting areas attached. There is a 3 story walk up to access the space. Chairs will be out and available. More about the space here: & Space | bf and artists
This idea was born out of my monthly songwriters circle. We discovered there's a want for lower commitment opportunities for group songwriting experiences. There are a few openings in our monthly circle (limited slots). If you're interested in joining, please find me (Amanda) after the event to chat!
