Focal Point is excited once again to welcome Hiroya Tsukamoto back to St. Louis. An innovative guitarist and composer, Hiroya fuses folk, jazz, and world music into a masterful blend of fingerstyle performance. Originally from Japan, he moved to the U.S. in 2000 after receiving a scholarship to the Berklee College of Music.
While Tsukamoto’s instrumental skills are breathtaking, his performances offer much more. He possesses a unique ability to engage and transfix an audience through a personable and genuine approach. Between his effortless technique and a repertoire that spans the globe, his colorful original compositions provide a truly mesmerizing sonic experience.
