Japanese "Kimekomi" Traditional Doll-Making Workshop
About this Event
For the June 21st class, students can make a charming Rabbit.
Shape silk and fabric into a stunning Japanese decorative doll, one piece at a time.
Kimekomi is a traditional Japanese craft with deep cultural roots. Using a wooden base, you tuck colorful silk and fabric into carved grooves to create a beautiful keepsake doll—no sewing required. In this hands-on workshop, our instructor guides you step by step as you bring your own doll to life and take it home.
This class welcomes all skill levels—whether you are completely new to Japanese craft or have an artistic background. All materials are included.
Your instructor, Keiko Fukuda, was born in Nagasaki and studied Pop Art in Tokyo. She has taught traditional Japanese crafts, famous painting reproductions, and printmaking across several countries, and founded YUME CLOUD STUDIO in 2016.
PLEASE NOTE: The class sign up deadline is 72 hours before the class begins. Cancellation after this period will NOT be refunded.
