Join us at the Laura Hawkins' house for our January meeting, which also happens to be our guild birthday. The Hannibal Writers Guild turns 7 years old in January 2025, and we're celebrating by taking a break from the writing grind and letting loose with a little fun!
Mingle, brainstorm, and enjoy birthday goodies (including birthday cake!) and party games. Share what you've been working on. Ask questions, get feedback. Tell us about what you've accomplished this year, and what you hope to accomplish in the next. Bring a brief literary work to share and we can also do an open mic! (Brief being five or less minutes of reading per person).

This meeting will be taking place at 210 N 5th Street, Hannibal, MO. It's the green house with the "Laura Hawkins House" sign on it.
The meeting will be Saturday, January 11th, at 5:30 P.M. at the Laura Hawkins house. There will be a sign on the door. Just let yourself in! Please do not arrive earlier than 4:30pm. The building will not be open until 4:30. You are, however, welcome to show up early at 4:30! Dana will be there, as usual, for office hours.
Please note that if for some reason we have to cancel due to weather (which has happened several times over the last 7 years!), we will have our birthday party at our February meeting. An email will go out announcing the rescheduling (if any), as well as on our Facebook page.
The meeting is of course free, so bring a friend or two or three!
