Join us for a peaceful and scenic 5.4-mile walk around Historic Jamestown Island! 🌿🌊This easy, paved loop winds through lush woodlands, serene marshes, and along the shores of the James River—blending nature with early American history.
📍 Meeting time & place: 10:00 AM at the Historic Jamestown Island Visitor Center parking lot (1368 Colonial Pkwy, Jamestown, VA). Parking is free and available on-site. Restrooms are located at the visitor center before we begin.
💲 Entrance fees: Please note that Historic Jamestowne requires admission.
• Adults (16+): $30 total ($15 National Park Service + $15 Preservation Virginia)
• Youth (6–15): $5
• Children under 6: Free
• Pass holders: Annual and America the Beautiful passes apply for the NPS portion, but the $15 Preservation Virginia fee still applies.
👉 Carpooling is a great idea if someone in our group has a pass—it helps save on costs and makes parking easier. 🚗💚
Along the way, we’ll pass interpretive signs, historic landmarks, and maybe even spot local wildlife like herons or bald eagles 🦅🐢. The trail is flat, stroller-friendly, and suitable for all levels.
🕒 Estimated time: About 2–2.5 hours at a relaxed pace with stops for views and photos.

🍴 Optional lunch: After the hike, those who wish can join us at Jamestown Café & 1781 Café by Aromas (2110 Jamestown Rd, Williamsburg, VA), just a 5-minute drive from the trailhead, for a casual meal with outdoor seating. If it’s busy, our backup spot will be Billsburg Brewery & Food Trucks (2054 Jamestown Rd, Williamsburg, VA), also about a 5-minute drive, perfect for a relaxed, social bite outdoors. 🍻
