FREE LECTUREJames Shepherd, author of "A Walk In The Wallace Desert Garden: Discovering Desert Secrets," will present a fascinating lecture about Sonoran Desert plants, ecosystems, and our environment in layman's terms. There will also be a question and answer session following his talk that will leave attendees with a new appreciation for the Sonoran Desert. Mr. Shepherd is a lifelong naturalist and has traveled the length and breadth of the Sonoran Desert in Arizona. His passion for the region led him to being a senior docent at the Boyce Thompson Arboretum in Superior. Shepherd is also a former staff writer and publications branch supervisor at Arizona Game and Fish.
The sound system used for the Amphitheater presentations has been recently repaired. Audiences should have no issues hearing the speakers clearly.
