Every month DxE mobilizes chapters across the globe for a day of nonviolent direct action to challenge the speciesism that enables the mass exploitation of nonhuman animals and the destruction of their home - our planet. We foster and build purposeful, supportive communities of DxE activists dedicated to create radical social and political change for animals.Speciesism is an ideology that considers the lives and interests of animals as not worthy of respect simply because they belong to another species.

Code of Conduct:
Treat members of the public, police, security, staff and fellow activists with courtesy and respect. We are there to promote an end to violence and oppression with education, love and peace. Do not respond to negativity in a negative manner, stay peaceful and positive.
Do not arrive to events drunk or on drugs.
HOW WE OPERATE:
Emergent Leadership. Give, don’t take, power.
Integrity. Choose the ethical route over the easier one.
Responsibility. Take ownership over your commitments to your fellow activists.
Empathy. Be nonviolent in act, word, and tone.
Inclusiveness. Be welcoming and kind. Seek diversity. Call people in, rather than out.
If you cannot adhere to these guidelines you will be asked to leave the event until rectification occurs.
