What bird do you think resembles Illinois? How about mushroom? Do you think there’s a fossil that embodies Illinois as a state? We will learn all of this and more about the state icons of Illinois on an interactive hike. After, we will view the vibrant “Winged Ambassadors” exhibit to draw inspiration for our own Illinois state icons art.
Fee: Free!
Age: Ages 6-12 years. Children must be accompanied by an adult.

Plum Creek Nature Center is an accessible facility. The hike will be about 1 mile on a crushed limestone surface.
