MIND & SOUL:

Beyond the Ballot - Women & Civic Power, Jamie Johnson, Director, People Not Politicians

We are living in critical times when decisions about voting rights, healthcare, public education, economic opportunity, and the future of our democracy are further shaping our communities. Black women’s voices and votes have always been essential, but our capacity for civic power extends far beyond Election Day. This interactive workshop explores how women can use voting, advocacy, organizing, coalition building, and leadership to influence decisions and create change. Participants will identify their civic strengths and leave with a practical next step for getting more engaged.

Resiliency: Going Through and Coming Out Stronger, Gabrielle Moore-Jones, Gabrielle Transformational Space

Life is lifing! What do you do when everywhere you turn, you find yourself juggling life, pouring into others while running on empty, navigating setbacks and barriers, and making sure you're staying financially afloat, all while taking care of yourself along the way.

This workshop will be a space to pause, refocus and rise. I will show you how to discover the strength to keep striving and the courage to keep believing, and the power to keep moving forward. One powerful reset, a renewed mindset results in a stronger you.

We will discuss resilience and how to rise again. We will discuss how connecting to your strength will empower you and how moving with intention aligns with your purpose. You will walk away understanding how resilience shows up, how to increase your resilience and how resilience and purpose work hand in hand.

From Idea to Reality, Crystal Turner, CEO, Covenant Consulting

An interactive workshop designed to help women transform their ideas into clear, actionable plans. Using the Covenant Consulting framework, participants will learn how to clarify their vision, identify their target audience, establish the necessary business foundation, and develop practical steps toward execution. Participants will leave with an Idea-to-Reality Action Plan.

African Dance, Yaminah Muhammed, Esoke Cultural Center

Participants will stretch and warm up to the African Jembe drum. After warm-up we will journey through West Africa through an exciting and fun dance that is a celebration of life,

Athletic Mat Fusion, Tiffani McReynolds, Owner, Selah Pilates

A mat pilates class focused on classical mat sequences with a sprinkle of contemporary. A good fit for beginners or those interested in a more traditional class.

Breathe, Release & Receive: A Musical Sound Bath & Breathwork Experience

This restorative workshop combines guided breathing with an immersive sound experience to help participants slow down, release tension, and reconnect with themselves.

A sound bath is a form of guided relaxation in which participants are “bathed” in layers of soothing sound—not water. While everyone rests comfortably, the facilitator uses resonant instruments, such as singing bowls and chimes, to create gentle tones and vibrations throughout the space. These sounds give the mind a peaceful point of focus while supporting a deeper state of rest and reflection.

The experience will begin with simple, accessible breathwork to help participants settle into their bodies. From there, participants may lie down or remain seated as they listen, breathe, and allow the sounds to unfold around them.

No previous experience with meditation, breathwork, or sound baths is needed, and there is nothing participants need to perform or “get right.” Comfortable clothing is encouraged, along with a yoga mat, blanket, pillow, and water.
