Italian Spirits in Cocktails – Masterclass

Join us for an exclusive masterclass led by James Grant (award-winning Canadian mixologist), together with Toronto bartenders Gianluca Passuello (Bar Compton) and Nick Kennedy (Civil Liberties), with special participation from Locale Firenze, ranked among the World’s 50 Best Bars in 2025 .

This hands-on session will explore what sets Italian spirits apart on the global stage from their history and production traditions to flavour profiles and bartending techniques. Guests will also enjoy a guided tasting of premium Italian spirits from 10 leading Italian producers—Caffo, Cocchi, Compagnia dei Caraibi, Crucolo, Favignana Gin, Luxardo, Nonino, Poli, Rupes and Varnelli—gaining first-hand insights into their unique qualities and versatility in cocktails.

This masterclass marks the opening of the first-ever Italian Cocktail Revolution, a week-long celebration of Italy’s spirits and cocktail culture in Toronto. The campaign unites 10 top Toronto bars and top Italian producers to showcase the excellence, creativity, and innovation of Made in Italy through immersive events, tastings, and collaborations with the city’s vibrant bartending community.
