It Starts With The Music

It Starts With The Music... is an opportunity for young people (aged 16-30) from Stockport to connect with upcoming and established music industry execs who also have roots in Stockport or Greater Manchester themselves.

The event will focus around a panel discussion, round table workshops and casual conversation, granting young people access to hear the career stories of young, Northern industry professionals working in different areas of the music industry, from the world of professional musicianship, to working at a record label, within public relations and across music journalism.

J. Chambers (recording artist)

Antonia Sulley (Scruff of the Neck Records)

with the event being hosted by Amelia Fearon (music journalist)

If you are keen to learn more about the steps you too may be able to take to turn your love of music into a career from experienced music industry professionals with a local background, then this event is for you.
