ISAE 2026 Summer Session

WEDNESDAY
9:00-9:30am
Attendees Meet in Marriott Lobby for an overview of the day.
9:45– 10:45am
Stop 1: Doubletree Hotel & Conference Center
Kick the day off with a welcome by ISAE leaders, Visit BN team, and an introduction to the events for the retreat. We will enjoy coffee and iced coffee, breakfast snacks & pastries and a tour of the venue.
11:00am – 1:30pm
Stop 2: Miller Park Pavillion/Miller Park Zoo
We will have time to tour the zoo, take in the pavilion in the park where we will have lunch from Pop-Up Chicken, and hear from other association professionals in this roundtable interactive session (CAE hours pending). We will be outside, make sure to be weather prepared.
1:45-3:00pm
Stop 3: Explore Downtown Bloomington
Attendees will have time on to explore the downtown area on their own. There are a variety
of art galleries, shops and more. Definitely a little something for everyone.
3:20pm-4:15pm
Stop 4: Heartland Community College
With a variety of spaces available, your group is sure to find space for your next event. We will tour the campus, continue our education discussion from earlier, and have a light snack & beverages. (CAE hours pending)
4:30pm – 6:10pm
Stop 5: Westside Blono
Bloomington-Normal’s food, drink and entertainment mecca, this is fun way for groups to relax, unwind and you will get to experience first hand the fun your attendees could have too. Pizza and appetizers will be included. Drinks are on your own for purchase.
6:30pm
Return to Marriott for refresh.
7:00pm-8:00pm
Stop 6: Hyatt Hotel for a Patio Party!
Attendees will walk across the street to the Hyatt for a reception including appetizers, drinks and tours of the facility. This patio party will be a great way to celebrate the success of the day and the friendships made.
8:00pm-11:00pm
Uptown Unwind Bar Crawl & Scavenger Hunt
Location(s) Medici, Maggie Mileys, Fiala’s, Pub II, Brew Ha’s
Unwind after a busy day by visiting some of the local establishments in the area. These provide opportunities for private events, fun-networking and more. Beverages will be available for purchase on your own.
Thursday
*Attendees check-out of hotel, but can leave car in parking*
8:30 am Breakfast & Education Session “What Actually Works in Social Media Marketing Today (and What’s a Waste of Time)” with special guest Mark Wolters
Close out the event over breakfast as we celebrate the friendships and memories made. Hear from ISAE Leaders as we recap the last year, share future plans, during the Annual Business Meeting. Tour the venue and finish out the event with the education session. This program will include CAE credits (pending).
