Introduction to Wood Transfers

This class will be focused on learning how to transfer photographs to wood. However, the technique can be used to transfer to canvas or other materials as well. As this is an introductory class, we will be working with small transfers to begin and larger pieces with different transfer techniques being offered this fall!
For this class, attendees will need to submit a photograph (color or black and white) around 4x6 inches or 5x7 inches in size in advance (by 8/3/2026.)
TIP:
We will learning to transfer photos to natural wood slices to allow the beautiful grain to show through. For this reason, areas of light color in the photo will tend to show more woodgrain than dark images.
