Introduction to Mantrailing!Mantrailing is the fun sport that teaches your dog to find a specific person using scent!
This unique opportunity will teach you the theory and skills needed to go Mantrailing with your dog, for fun!
You must take an introductory course to do any open/progress Mantrailing course!
Continuing Mantrailing can take you to different levels and challenges!
You will need:
*a dog (course is open to all dogs!)
*crate (dogs will be in crates or cars when not trailing for safety. Dogs must be comfortable in crate or car),
*water bowl
*3 scent articles, each in a large zip lock plastic bag (i.e glove, hat, bandana)
*4 pocket size Tupperware containers or zip lock bags
*high value treats for your dog (ham, liverwurst, tuna, meatballs etc.)
*30' long line
*standard 6' leash
* gloves
*boots
* properly fitted back clip body harness (preferably one your dog has no associations with and, "Y" style). Your dog's every day collar or harness. (no prongs, shocks or chokes, please)
*a desire to have fun!
We will be offering one 3.5 hour courses that day! 9:30 am-1:00 pm and open run throughs for anyone who has previously taken the Intro course. (can not do open run throughs the same day you take the intro course) Space is limited!
Deadline to join class is September 1st, 2024.
Class must be filled to be held.
