A Gathering of Conversation Partners

I am inviting you to a gathering of all Conversation Partners. This will not be one of the usual workshops, but rather a chance for us to talk together about the experience of being CPs, to celebrate, share, troubleshoot, socialize (with refreshments!). Many of our New Vermonters have needs beyond help with language, for example, and it would be good for us to talk about what is and is not reasonable for us to help with in our roles as volunteers. It will also be a useful time to reflect on the CP program, which in its present form has been going on for 16 months. What’s working? What changes might be useful to consider?

I will also have news about the future location of the Multicultural Center, including its English classes.

Please also invite (and register) any friends, colleagues or family who might be interested in becoming a CP. We need more volunteers, as more refugees are arriving weekly.
