Title: Introduction to Fighting with the Longsword

Description: This course will teach you the basics of fighting with the medieval longsword. By referencing ancient texts called Fechtbücher (fightbooks), written by master swordsman from 15th century Germany, you will learn to: properly cut with a sword, defend yourself from attacks, and outsmart your opponents. Come be part of a centuries-old tradition!

Details:

• This course is for adults ages 18+
• If you miss a session, we offer make-up sessions on Wednesdays from 6:30 to 8:30.
• What to bring? Comfortable clothes, clean socks, water, groin protection. Groin protection is a requirement!
• This course includes moderate physical activity and full-contact sparring with other participants.
• Participation is first-come-first-serve and space is limited.
