Introduction to Jazz
About this Event
Discover the world of jazz in a fun and welcoming small-group setting! This course explores the basics of jazz style, rhythm, improvisation and ensemble playing before finishing with an informal performance for family and friends.
These courses are open to young people aged 8-16. Participants should be working at approximately Grade 3+ standard (or equivalent experience) and above, and be confident learning new music within a single rehearsal session.
Suitable for piano/keyboard, guitar, bass guitar and drum kit players.
No previous experience playing jazz required but must be confident on their instrument (grade 3+ or equivalent standard).
Time: 1:00pm–6:00pm
Informal Concert: 5:30pm
Cost: £14 per person
