Miriam Davis is a British concert violinist who has performed throughout the world as a soloist and chamber musician. May 2024 saw the release of her debut album, “Ode to Lost Time”, on Convivium Records, with pianist Michael Bulychev-Okser, featuring a selection of music associated with the French novelist, Marcel Proust. Other 2024 highlights included Concerto performance in Estonia Concert Hall, a recital at Gümüşlük International Festival Turkey, recital for Mravinsky Festival, Bach Double Concerto with Alexander Markov, and her performance of Schindler’s List with Oxford Philharmonic and Marios Papadopoulos in Windsor Castle. 2026 sees her eagerly awaited return to stage after enjoying maternity leave.
Lately Miriam has been featured by Classic FM and won 1st Prize in the Agimus Padova International Competition 2021. Her prize includes a CD recording which will be released later in 2026, featuring Strauss Violin Sonata. Recent and upcoming performance venues as a soloist include Concertgebouw Amsterdam, Estonia Concert-hall Tallinn, Vanemuise Kontsertdimaja, Parnü Concert Hall, Częstochowa Philharmonic Concert Hall, Stoller Hall Manchester, Stavanger Konserthus Sommerkonsert Series, Temppeliaukio Church Helsinki, Parco Della Music Rome, St Martin in the Fields London, National Portrait Gallery London and Sage Gateshead Hall 1.
Miriam is a prizewinner in numerous International and National competitions, including 1st Prizes from Grand Virtuoso International Competition with invitation to perform at Royal Albert Hall London, IMKA competition, North Online International Competition & Virtuoso Belcanto International Competition dedicated to Paganini.
As a concerto soloist she has performed with conductors such as Peter Szilvay, Marios Papadopoulos, Anatoli Štšura, Lilyan Kaiv, Marc Moncusi, Jose Miguel Rodilla, and Oliver Weder, and orchestras such as Oxford Philharmonic, Narva Symphony Orchestra, Kaliningrad Symphony Orchestra, and Maarja Filharmoonia.
Festival performances include: Freedom Festival Hull, Stavanger Chamber Festival, Norwegian Youth Chamber Festival, Cheltenham and Lake District Music Festivals, Tunnell Trust Coll and Prussia Cove International Musician’s Seminar.
Miriam currently collaborates in Violin/Piano Duo with renowned American pianist, Michael Bulychev-Okser. She has also performed chamber music with eminent musicians such as Alexander Markov, Wilfried Strehle, Maria Kliegel, St Petersburg Quartet and Piano Quintet, Jelger Blanken, Laura Mikkola and Amaury Coeytaux.
Miriam particularly specialises in and adores Romantic repertoire and performance style. She is also a keen proponent of contemporary repertoire, including recently performing concertos by Alexey Shor, and giving the Norwegian Premiere of Edward Cowie’s GAD for NyMusikk society in Norway.
Miriam studied with renowned French violinist, Philippe Graffin, including receiving her Artist Diploma at Hague Royal Conservatory in 2018. She has also made extended and Masters Degree study with notable musicians including Albert Markov, Pierre Amoyal, Eszter Haffner, and Andras Keller. Miriam completed her undergraduate studies at Royal College of Music London, on a full scholarship.
Miriam is also a committed violin pedagogue of 15 years teaching experience, with students including members of National Youth Orchestra of Great Britain and National Children’s Orchestra of Great Britain. She is a professor for Classical Hugs International Academy and festival, teaching alongside professors including Pavel Vernikov,Svetlana Makarova, Carmine Lauri, Alexander Markov, Pierre Amoyal and many more.

Recordings 2023 include complete Ballades and Scherzos by Frederic Chopin (Odradek Record Label) and an album on Convivium Records Label/Naxos as a duo with the British violinist Miriam Davis, celebrating the literary legacy of Marcel Proust, a duo which Michael and Miriam have established since 2019, and played on world's biggest stages in Estonia, United Kingdom, Latvia, Finland, Turkey, Italy among other countries. The duo also has established a strong love and personal bond.
A recipient of Who’s Who in Music, Michael has been featured on CBS and Channel 12 programs and WQXR and WWFM radio stations, in addition to international media: TV1 (Russia), TV3 (Estonia), RAI 1 (Italy), and Nippon TV (Japan). Concert seasons 2024-2026 features Bulychev-Okser’s orchestra performance of Mendelssohn’s Double Concerto with legendary Shlomo Mintz, solo recitals at Kawai Center in Paris, France Almeria, Spain, at Washington International Piano Festival, D.C., in Gvadlajara International Piano Festival in Mexico, Gümüşlük International Piano Festival, Turkey, appearance as soloist with Cita de Reus XXI Orchestra in Reus, Spain, and concert tour around Italy, including Milan, Rome, Venice, and multiple venues in Apulia and Sicily.
