About this Event

Join the Choices Nutrition Team in Kitsilano, or tune in from home via YouTube livestream, for a special hybrid cooking seminar and live demonstration featuring bannock and a local berry compote.

This interactive session combines hands-on cooking instruction with a discussion of traditional Indigenous foodways and the important role local Indigenous foods play in health, nutrition, culture, and community. Participants will learn how to prepare bannock and berry compote while exploring broader conversations about traditional foods, their nutritional value, and their significance within Indigenous food systems.
