About this Event
Join the Frick Park Rangers for a tour of Frick Park! Over the course of the summer, this trail series will explore different trails around Frick Park giving everyone new ways to experience the park from multiple different entrances! Participants are encouraged to sign up for event updates, pack water, and wear closed toe shoes for safety. These hikes will be easy-to-moderate pace and under 2.5 miles. These events will occur every first & third Thursday from May-September from 5:00-6:30PM. Please note that the meeting location will change each month. The first hike of the month will focus on larger, main pathways and will be a slightly shorter and easier hike while the third Thursday’s hike will be more single-track trail based and potentially higher milage. Participants should be comfortable walking on crushed stone terrain, up and down slopes, and crossing potentially slippery boardwalks. Friendly, leashed dogs are welcomed.
This hike will be meeting at the Blue Slide Playground entrance to Frick Park (use nearest residential address of 2466 Beechwood Blvd.) at 5:30. Street parking is plentiful and/or park on English Lane (behind the playground). This hike will explore some of Frick Park’s single-track trails around this entrance to Frick Park. Participants should be comfortable walking on narrow trails and wear closed toe shoes and be prepared to cross muddy sections of trails. This hike will be about 2 miles long. This hike will have uneven terrain and participants should be prepared to descend down short segments and be comfortable taking larger steps down steep terrain.
