How Energy-Based Safety principles help organizations to prioritize hazards with SIF potential, and ensure adequate control.
About this Event

This session will review the fundamental principles of Energy-Based Safety (EBS), an evidence-based approach to preventing serious injuries and fatalities (SIFs). Participants will explore effective hazard recognition using the Energy Wheel, methods for prioritizing hazards with SIF potential, and strategies for ensuring adequate controls. The session will also demonstrate how EBS principles and tools can be integrated into existing safety activities, making safety management systems more sensitive to SIF risk and more firmly grounded in evidence.
