What Students Need to Bring
  • 25cm (or 1 fat 1/8th) of neutral 100% quilting cotton for the background (small print or tone-on-tone is fine; calico is also suitable, pre-washed)
  • 100% cotton fabric scraps
  • Fusible web (Heat and Bond Lite or Vleisofix)
  • Paper scissors and sharp fabric scissors
  • Stranded cotton (any colour)
  • Embroidery hand sewing needles
  • A correct sized thimble for your dominant hand middle finger
  • Pencil
  • A couple of sheets of photocopy paper
  • Notebook and pen for notes

Optional: A kit with background fabric, fabric scraps and one skein of stranded cotton is available from the tutor for $7 cash on the day.
