Event Description:
Introduction to ASL workshop led by Lisa James, a Deaf Indigenous instructor. Learn basic signs, communication skills, and Deaf culture in a welcoming, beginner-friendly space.
About the Speaker:
Lisa James is from the Pauquachin First Nation and has been Deaf all her life. As a Deaf person, she understands how important communication is—even at a basic level—and brings that lived experience into her teaching.
Tea and coffee provided. Our venue is wheelchair accessible and includes gender neutral washrooms.
