Intro to Soldering - In-Person Jewelry Class

Ready to stop guessing at the soldering bench and begin learning how to use a torch safely and confidently?
Intro to Soldering provides a straightforward starting point for students who are new to jewelry soldering. You’ll explore torch safety, foundational soldering concepts, and techniques used for different jewelry-making applications.
Rather than expecting you to arrive with previous soldering experience, this class begins with the fundamentals. You’ll develop a clearer understanding of the process while gaining guided experience that can support future jewelry projects.
This beginner-friendly class is ideal for new students who want to overcome their uncertainty around torch work and establish a stronger foundation from the beginning.
Your instructor, Kim St. Jean, is Tucson Jewelry School’s resident artist and has more than 25 years of jewelry-making teaching experience. She’ll walk you through the process step by step and help you begin developing safer, more confident soldering habits.
