Intro to Fusion 3D Industrial & Mechanical Design
About this Event
Intro to Fusion 3D Industrial & Mechanical Design
Ages 13–18
In Intro to Fusion 3D Industrial & Mechanical Design, students explore the world of product design, engineering, and innovation using Autodesk Fusion. Through hands-on design challenges, participants learn how industrial designers and engineers create products used in everyday life, from consumer electronics and furniture to tools, vehicles, and sustainable technologies.
Students will develop skills in 3D modeling, sketching, prototyping, and design thinking while learning how to transform ideas into functional digital products. Using professional CAD software, participants will create and refine original designs while exploring the engineering principles behind successful products.
What Students Will Learn
- Introduction to Fusion and CAD design
- 3D modeling and product development
- Sketching and parametric design
- Engineering and industrial design fundamentals
- Prototyping and iterative design
- Design for manufacturing and 3D printing
- Portfolio development and project presentation
Final Project
Students will design and present an original product concept that demonstrates creativity, functionality, and mastery of Fusion's industrial design tools.
